Martin McNeill Blues Duo Thursday 24 August 8.00pm
Martin McNeill is a singer and guitarist who performs traditional blues and vintage soul with touches of gospel and jazz. You can expect to hear a wide repertoire including ‘Delta Blues.’
Terry Seabrook Jazz Trio – Friday 25 August 8.00pm
You can expect to hear the very best in live jazz with classic jazz compositions from the great composers, Bebop, Swing, Latin and original material.
The line – up is Terry Seabrook on Organ, Andy Panayi on Sax and Flute and Joe Edwards on Drums.
Terry, a regular performer at the Festival, and this year is joined by the great jazz saxophonist and flautist Andy Panayi and newcomer on drums Joe Edwards.
Terry is known for his projects from Cubana Bop, Milestones and Triversion through to his current touring band Atlanticus.
Andy Panayi is an exceptionally gifted jazz musician, composer and educator and has performed and recorded with top artists from Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, to Freddie Hubbard and Wynton Marsalis.
Joe Edwards has been playing drums professionally for 2 years and has already performed at major jazz festivals in Swanage and Brighton.
The Real Capitano Gypsy Jazz Duo – Saturday 26 August 5.00pm
Putting the rebel in the treble, ace in the bass and the rhythm in the rhyme, The Real Capitano rides the fault lines of music, politics and performance, weaving styles, and genres, from blues to beatnik, via New Orleans and gypsy jazz, questing for sonic and cerebral solutions, if only temporary!
This special festival performance is a collaboration between Capitano and his dear friend, and accompanist for many moons, rhythm guitarist Dave Kelbie.
Jeff Horsey Solo Blues – Sunday 27 August 5.00pm
Jeff performs foot stomping blues and American and is a true ‘One Man Blues Band’ phenomena! He sings, plays guitar, the harmonica and foot percussion.
Roger Hubbard Blues Duo – Monday 28 August 3.00pm
Roger Hubbard is one of the major exponents of early blues and slide guitar. In the 1960s he was playing at folk clubs and continuing interest in country and delta blues he started his own blues clubs in Lewes and Brighton.
